Markus Gunneflo

Dr Markus Gunneflo is visiting the Laureate Program in International Law at Melbourne Law School in December 2017. He is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in public international law at Lund University, Sweden, where he is also co-directing the master's program in International Human Rights Law. His recent book Targeted Killing: A Legal and Political History tracks the development of international law doctrines supporting global counter-terrorism operations, doctrines that have also proved important in the context of foreign interventions in civil wars. His research is in the theory and history of international law and his current long-term projects include one on the Swedish Feminist Foreign Policy entitled 'The Tragedy of Humanitarian Feminism' and another on space law tentatively entitled 'Decolonizing Space: International Law for a New World'.
